What's On?

There's plenty going on in the church. Sundays are great, but that is just the tip of the iceberg – we believe the heart of the church is within the local Life Groups.

If you want to be more involved, why not come along this Sunday and complete a connection form or speak to one of the connection team, where you can get connected to your local 'Life Group'.

Boys Brigade "A Whole New Ball Game"

An article about the new Boys Brigade group at New Lfe in the local News Paper

 BB in the news
Life really is a ball for these energetic boys.
They have been letting off steam by taking part in fast-paced games at a community venue in Emsworth.
The boys have gone 'back to basics' to take part in games such as dodgeball, where players run around to avoid being hit by a ball.
'They love it,' said Sam Warren, chaplain of Emsworth Boys Brigade, which only started up in January but has already attracted 25 members.
'It's just really good fun. It's going back to basics.
'We all have fond memories of games we used to play as kids and a lot of them have been abandoned in schools now.
'It allows boys to be boys really - and to make a mess which they could not necessarily do at home.
'It gives them a sense of identity too.'
The games for five to 11-year-olds take place at the New Life Christian Church in Thorney Road, Emsworth.
Youngsters pay £1 a week to attend the group on Monday nights from 6.30pm.

New Boys Brigade Group at NewLife

Article published in The Portsmouth News on the 27th February 2010

"A NEW youth group is thriving after being set up just a month ago.
The Emsworth Boys Brigade is held weekly for five to 11-year-olds at New Life Christian Church, Thorney Road, Emsworth.
Since it started last month, more than 25 boys have joined to enjoy action-packed programmes of activities like games, craft and cookery.
'The company is going from strength to strength and we'd welcome even more members,' said Captain Chris Ware, 29, of Havant.
'The boys have a lot of fun and get the chance to make new friends and take part in lots of exciting and challenging activities in a safe and supportive environment.
'It's a new adventure for us as a church but we're drawing on the background of a youth organisation with 126 years of experience - and it's great to see the children discover and develop their potential.'
There are 70,000 members across the UK and youngsters pay £1 a week to attend the group on Monday night from 6.30pm.
Anyone who would like to find out more can call New Life Christian Church on (01243) 371893 or email boysbrigade@nlccuk.org"
